Reuben Abati, a well-known Nigerian journalist, has been urged by Senator Smart Adeyemi of the Kogi West Senatorial District to rejoin the All Progressives Congress, or APC.
During a discussion regarding the Kogi State APC gubernatorial primary results on Arise Television's Morning Show on Monday, Adeyemi made the request.
The Kogi senator referred to Bola Tinubu, the incoming president, by saying that he and Abati were Asiwaju's lads.

"Reuben, you know how harshly you have criticised both our party and the APC. You and I were Asiwaju's boys, as you are aware. You'd best get Reuben back to APC where he belongs. Come home, Reuben," Adeyemi pleaded.
Earlier in the programme, he had criticised the party primaries for governor in the State, claiming that no vote took place.
