A group issues a warning over the rise in online gender-based violence

Concern has been expressed by a civil society organisation on the persistent online gender-based abuse of women.

According to Chioma Agwuegbo, Executive Director of TechHerNG, violence against women online extends beyond revenge porn.

She listed further violent online crimes committed against women and other vulnerable groups, such as doxing, deep fakes, and bullying.

According to her, online violence extends beyond revenge porn and includes bullying, doxing, and deep fakes against women and other vulnerable groups.

Through our school tour projects, TechHer has expended a lot of resources to demystify technology for young women and girls.
