Examination of Election Materials: Obi enters court to observe the decision about INEC's request

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) filed a motion to vary the court's order requiring the inspection of materials used to conduct the presidential election on February 25. Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party LP, stormed the Court of Appeal in Abuja to witness the court's decision.

A procession of party chieftains, including Chief Victor Umeh, the senator-elect for Anambra Central, accompanied Obi to the courtroom.

A entourage of attorneys, including Senior Advocates of Nigeria SANS, ushered in the presidential contender who will contest the results of the February 25 presidential election before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

Chief Victor Umeh, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, is accompanied by Julius Abure, who is also a presidential candidate.

A ruling on the INEC's request is anticipated from the Court of Appeal's Justice Joseph Ikyegh-led panel.

The All Progressive Congress APC and President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu's motions, requesting permission from the court to conduct a similar inspection of the electoral materials used for the February 25 presidential election, will also be decided by the court.
