During the Lagos spare parts market fire, one person died

An update on the Wednesday fire in Ajegunle has been given by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.

Early this morning, fire broke out at the Akere Spare Parts Market on Kirikiri Road, Akere Bus Stop, and Olodi-Apapa in Ajegunle.

The Ajegunle Fire Station was the first to arrive at the scene, according to a statement by Margaret Adeseye, Director of the Fire Service.

According to the official, the Agency's Sari-Iganmu and Ilupeju Fire Companies afterwards joined forces to put out the blazing fire.
In addition to other surrounding structures, the fast response saved "a neighboring market Petroleum Filling Station with a filled 33,000 liter PMS truck."

The Lagos Neighborhood and Safety Corps, the Red Cross, and the Tolu Police Division all sent staff to assist in the recovery of a male adult.

In order to account for the number of locked stores and lost goods, the statement also stated that the cause would be looked into in conjunction with post-incident enumeration
