Police in Osun free a kidnapped female passenger

 

On the Osogbo-Ikirun Road, a woman who was one of the occupants of a commercial vehicle that was kidnapped has been freed.

The Nigeria Police, Osun State Command, announced the rescue's success on Sunday.


Several travellers were kidnapped by unidentified gunmen early on Friday in the Ayepe Village on the Osogbo-Ikirun Route.

The Osun Police Command spokeswoman, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the recovery and said that efforts to liberate further kidnapped people have already started.

Opalola also disclosed that the gunmen had located the driver of the car they had attacked.

According to her, “The operatives rescued the kidnap victim of Ikirun/Osogbo Road abduction that occurred on Friday. 

The woman was saved and sent to the hospital for the required medical care.
