She shared text messages indicating that she had been solicited for a significant sum of $200,000 by fraudsters. To verify the authenticity of the request, she requested a voice message from the alleged Patience Ozokwo.
Destiny Etiko made it explicit that Patience Ozokwo had never made such requests before. She urged colleagues and fans to exercise caution and remain vigilant. Her message read:
"Pls be careful o Mama’s WhatsApp got hacked @patienceozokwo l almost sent 200k to them o But decided to tell the guy to send me a voice note to confirm cos MAMA has never told me such b4 and the person stopped chatting me Pls let us be guided."
Uche Jombo, not one to stay silent, disclosed in the comments that she had also been targeted with a demand for a substantial 300k. She shared the same message with the same payment request that she received from the fraudulent hacker on her Instagram story.
Chinyere Wilfred joined the online battle by posting a warning on her Instagram profile, alerting her colleagues to be on the lookout for these hackers.
