Portable distributes food items to Lagos Citizens

Notorious singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, recently hit the streets to give some Lagos State citizens food.

The Zazoo singer posted footage of charitable acts on his Instagram feed.

The musician could be seen giving some of his fans food in the footage, including bread, rice, and drinks.

He also gave less fortunate people shoes and other non-edibles.

He was only released from custody 48 hours prior to his kind gesture.

Remember that Portable was detained by police officers on Friday after declining invites and was charged on Monday with three counts of assault and one count of larceny of musical instruments.

He was nonetheless granted bail for the three counts in the amount of N800,000 with two sureties in the same amount by an Ogun State Magistrate's Court in Ifo.

The singer has to remain in custody at the Ilaro detention facility while the bail terms are fulfilled, the magistrate ruled. He eventually achieved his bail conditions and was released.

Portable had pledged to start again after being freed.

The trial was set to begin on April 26 after the case was postponed.
