1. Candidates for governorships and state houses of assembly from various political parties, as well as their supporters and other interested parties, are anxiously awaiting the results of the elections that took place on Saturday, even as the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, started uploading the results to its results viewing portal.


2. The All Progressives Congress is not running in Rivers State against the People's Democratic Party, but rather against the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Police, according to a former minister of transportation by the name of Rotimi Amaechi. Amaechi made this statement to the media after casting his ballot in Ward 8, Unit 17 of the state's Ubima Ikwerre Local Government Area.

6. Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, has reached out to his supporters who were attacked during Saturday's governorship and house of assembly elections. An election-related shooting killed a Labour Party operative, according to Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the party's candidate for governor in the state. 

7. Ibrahim Nakuzama, a former councilman for the Getso ward, is said to have been shot dead for allegedly stealing ballot boxes. Security personnel are alleged to have shot and killed Nakuzama on Saturday in Kano's Gwarzo local government area.


8. In Kano State, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have urged their supporters to march to collation centers. While Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, NNPP presidential candidate, made the statement on his party's behalf, spokesperson for the Gawuna/Garo Campaign Council, Malam Muhammad Garba, made the call for the ruling party's supporters.
