The All Progressives Congress' (APC) Dapo Abiodun won the race for governor of Ogun State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) proclaimed Abiodun the winner on Sunday.
The incumbent governor, who is competing for a second and last term, beat his closest competitor, Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 13,915 vote margin to emerge successful.
He received 276 298 votes, defeating Adebutu, who received 262 383 votes.
Biyi Otegbeye, a candidate for the Africa Democratic Party (ADP), finished third with 94,754 votes.
