Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has claimed that one needs to be a member of "the cult" in order to survive, or succeed in local vernacular, in Nigeria.

Recently, the director made this claim on his officially verified Instagram profile.

He claimed that one needed to be a follower of a particular cult in order to "live and survive" in Nigeria.

He presented a flyer with the words, "Nigeria. One must be a member of the cult in order to live and survive there. - YemiSolade.

He used the hashtags "cult," "cultism," "cultic," "survival," and "depressed" along with the caption "It is genuine."

His tweet received a range of responses, with some fans fearing he might be despondent.
