remains of the stoned-to-death Uber driver were buried in Ondo

The remains of Temitope Olorunfemi, an Uber driver who was killed last week in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, after being battered and stoned, have been buried.

His companions transported his remains from a private mortuary in the state capital of Akure metropolitan to the Oda axis, where it was interred.

His companions cried during the burying process as his body was lowered, unable to contain their grief.

While the grieving relatives were en route to the graveyard with his casket, some commercial motorbike riders were attacked.

On Easter Monday, the deceased was stoned to death and then beaten to death after allegedly driving recklessly and hitting some pedestrians and injuring six other people.

His killers said he was a "Yahoo Boy," a typical name for an online scammer.

Prior to this, certain suspects who were purportedly connected to the victim's murder were displayed at the state's police headquarters.
