Nigeria had 154.8 million internet users in Q4 2022

 

In the fourth quarter of 2022, there were 154.8 million internet users in Nigeria.

The rise was 9.07% more than the 141,971,560 in the fourth quarter of 2021.

This information was released on Friday by the National Bureau of Statistics.

According to the report, the number of active voice users increased to "222,571,568 from the 195,463,898 reported in Q4 2021" in the fourth quarter of 2022.

This shows a growth rate of 13.87%, according to the agency.

On a quarterly basis, however, voice subscribers increased by 4.89 percent, according to NBS.

According to NBS, Lagos State reported the most active voice subscribers during the reviewed period with 26,460,877, while Bayelsa recorded the least with 1,571,692.

According to mobile operators, MTN Nigeria has the most internet subscribers (65 million), followed by Globacom (43 million), Airtel (41 million), and 9mobile (4.4 million).

According to NBS, this increased by 1.35 percent from one quarter to the next.
