IGP directs AIG posting and redeployment

 

The posting and redeployment of Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) to Departments, Commands, and Formations across the nation has been ordered by Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba.


The change was consistent with the IGP's workforce development strategy of placing the right people in positions that suit them. 

According to a police announcement, the following senior police officials have been posted and redeployed in accordance with the strategic policy: Police Mobile Force AIG Ibrahim Sani Ka'oje, mni, Special Protection Unit AIG Matthew Akinyosola, mni, AIGs Zone 14 Katsina Ahmad Abdulrahman Sylvester Abiodun Alabi, fdc, Zone 12 Bauchi AIG Yekini Adio Ayoku, psc(+), mni, maritime Lagos Zone 13 Ukpo Dunukofia's AIG is Olofu Tony Adejoh, Zone 7 Abuja's AIG is Aliyu Garba, Zone 4 Makurdi's AIG is Haladu M. Ros-Amson, Zone 8 Lokoja's AIG is Babatunde B. Ishola, Zone 2 Lagos' AIG is Ari M. Ali, and Zone 4's AIG is Alexander N. Wannang. 

Others are "Commandant Police Academy, Wudil - AIG Sadiq I. Abubakar, mni, Zone 9 Umuahia-AIG Mamman Sanda Umar, fdc, Zone 16 Yenagoa, AIG Benjamin N. Okolo, fdc; DTD FHQ Abuja, AIG Oyediran A. Oyeyemi, fsi; FCID Annex Kaduna, AIG Babaji Sunday; Zone 5 Benin, AIG Arungwa Nwazue Udo; and Force Transport Officer, AIG Yusuf C. Usman, mni.


The posting was made with immediate effect, according to FPRO, CSP, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who made the announcement in Abuja. All newly posted and redeployed officers were tasked with doing their best to ensure that the operations of their new Commands, Formations, and Departments adhere to the Police Reform mandate.
