Nigeria Decides 2023: Obi wins Atiku in Adamawa polling unit

 

Once the results were declared, Peter Obi, the Labour Party's (LP) presidential candidate, won a voting unit in Adamawa State.

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party's presidential candidate, is well-known for coming from Adamawa.

Obi received 120 votes in Adamawa's PU35, Karewa, Yola north LGA, whereas Atiku received 82 votes, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Party (APC), received 26 votes, and the presidential candidate of the NNPP received only two. 

Atiku received a significant number of votes at his polling place in Ajiya Ward, Old GRA, Jimeta, where the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Mohammed Bello, also cast a ballot, and he won for the first time in history since he began running for president in 2007.

The PDP flagbearer received 282 votes in his Ajiya Ward 012 unit, compared to 57 for the APC, 6 for the LP, and 1 for the NNPP.
