Five-month-old infant and mother in Ondo die from generator fumes; husband is hospitalized

A mother and her five-month-old infant were reportedly murdered by generator smoke they inhaled overnight when tragedy hit Owo, Ondo state, over the weekend.

According to reports, the family bought the generator on Monday, and it was the generator that led to their demise on Friday night.

Tawa, the dead, and her husband worked at the Federal Medical Centre, or FMC, in Owo.

At the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital, doctors are attempting to save the husband's life.

According to a dependable source, the family bought the generator on Monday, and the terrible incident occurred over the weekend when they used it overnight.

According to reports, the deceased called her older sister on Thursday night to inform her that her infant was ill and that she would be bringing the child to the sister.

According to reliable sources, the deceased's sister was informed that neither her sister nor her husband were at work when she arrived at her sister's workplace at around 1pm.

According to reports, when the deceased's older sister and the couple's coworkers arrived at their home, the door was closed.

They had to force entry before discovering them comatose and the infant dead.

They were then taken by emergency vehicle to the FMC, where the wife eventually passed away and the husband is reportedly in severe condition.

When contacted, Funmi Odunlami, the state police command image maker, claimed that the incident had not been reported to the Owo police division.
